So the pieces are finally coming together…
…which means, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for…
…the assembly of (what we’re calling), HOLY GNOME, THERE’S AN ELK ON MY BURGER!
In case you’re just tuning in, John and I have visited quite a few breweries in the last couple of months and John has been writing these (amazing) pairing menus for all of the brews we’ve sampled. Well, since the Heinzelmännchen folks reached out to us with kind words about our write-up, we asked them – and you all! – which pairing dish you’d like to see on the blog. The final vote was for the dish that goes with Heinzelmännchen’s Heavenly Gnome: the monstrous elk burger topped with smoked pork country ribs, caramelized red onions, a fried green tomato, roasted garlic greens, double smoked provolone, and a Southern Comfort sweet tea BBQ sauce!
Look at that thing! Seriously. What a burger.
We dragged the components of this burger out post by post over the last two weeks because, I mean… it’s just too much to write it all up in one post! Plus, we figured it would be easier if we broke the posts up so that you could maybe, say, make the smoked pork country ribs for dinner one night and save some to use on the burger later!
Anyway, feel free to sort of mix and match with this one and put as little or as much as you want on it if it’s too daunting for a single evening! Or, if you’d rather, just enjoy the photos ;)
